Cajen wins Best of Opposite at the Eukanuba Invitational Dog Show in Long Beach California!!      Hello and Welcome!   Welcome to the online home of Onyxgold Reg'd Rottweilers.  I am Heather Peters and we are located near Redwater, Alberta, which is approximately 1/2 hour North of the City of Edmonton.  Our home consists of a large beautiful house located on 160acres of land, with a large dugout for swimming, and loads of open land for quading and horseback riding.  Our dogs certainly do not lack the space for sufficient exercise. All of our dogs are incredibly social and live in our home, first and foremost as companions.  We are currently owned by 8 very spoiled furry kids.  We have three spayed or neutered rottweilers:  Mason, Callie and Tia, who do not play a part in our breeding programme but who are much loved members of our family regardless.  Our other 5 dogs consist of our champions:  Jenna, Cajen, and Caper, as well as our two new puppies Astro and Dyna, whose pages you may visit on our site. We are members in good standing with the Rottweiler Club of Canada, as well as the Canadian Kennel Club, and our breeding practices adhere to the Codes of Ethics of both clubs.  We produce litters infrequently and only when we are convinced that the resultant progeny will become outstanding representatives of the breed.  We are dedicated to producing healthy pups of stable temperaments.  We health test all of our adult dogs stringently and strenuously socialize our puppies and adults to ensure that they all become outstanding representatives of the breed.  We wouldn't have been able to accomplish any of this without some wonderful mentors whom we have met along the way, and certainly without the outstanding homes in which we have placed our puppies.  We have puppies in homes right across Canada and are always thrilled to hear brags and accomplishments from all of our puppy homes!! Our dogs are not only our wonderful companions but outstanding show dogs, and fantastic demo dogs.  Our Jenna finished her training as a pet therapy dog, however time constraints have hindered us from pursuing this venue.  Our Caper and Cajen have been breed ambassadors at Pet Expo in Edmonton for the past two years and were joined this past year by their younger half sisters Astro and Dyna.  We are extremely proud of all of our dogs and their successes in the show ring, working venues, or simply as outstanding companions for their families.
