Meet Our Boys...
Dennis was sold by all accounts as a pet to Neil and Shelley but he turned out to be so much more. He picked up his first two points in the CKC ring at the age of 7 months in an outstanding day of showing that saw his mother Jenna pick up Best of Breed, saw his 7 month old sister Caper pick up winners bitch/best of winners/best puppy, and saw Dennis pick up winners dog. It was definitely a family affair for our photo. After this win we pulled Dennis out a few times but were always facing daunting obstacles to overcome, we ended up pulling Dennis once from a show weekend after he came down with Kennel cough and then shortly thereafter he decided to go through a really odd growth period, which saw his body change enormously due to hormonal changes. Fortunately though he came back together and we brought him out in the summer of 2006 to the Calgary Sieger show where he took a V3 Rating from the 18-24 month class, as well as picking up his TT title!! We then had the opportunity to show this young boy at the Red Deer and District Kennel club in November of 2006 and boy are we glad his parents could part with him for the weekend as Dennis finished his championship by picking up 8 more points in a weekend!! Grandma handled to 5 of those points and finished off by professional handler Gary Lee on the last day. Our plans for the future for Dennis involve showing him at a few shows, likely initially by a handler as he will undoubtedly prove to be too strong for his grandma/breeder who is still overcoming a knee injury, and he will be in the obedience ring with his mom Shelley in the future!! Dennis is a very substantial boy who at the time of this writing stands a full 26 3/4" at the withers, and weighs 140lbs. He has a beautiful broad headpiece, dark eyes, level topline, dark mahogany markings, and the same effortless ground covering movement indicative of all of the pups in his litter. We thank his parents Neil and Shelley for allowing us exclusive decision making regarding the selective use of Dennis in the future as a prospective stud dog, pending the completion of his health certificates.
